Intentional Camera Movement

Welcome to my Abstract Landscapes gallery where I explore the beauty of nature through the fun and creative technique of intentional camera movement (ICM). By the use of ICM I’m able to create images that capture the essence of a place, and give them a dream-like quality.

With ICM, I actually move the camera on purpose while taking the photo. It sounds strange, but it lets me blur and blend the scene in beautiful, unexpected ways. Instead of showing every little detail, I’m aiming to capture the feeling of a place—what it feels like to be there, not just what it looks like. The result is something soft and abstract.

This technique can be used in many different scenes, from forests, to open meadows, rolling hills, and more. Browse through my Abstract Landscapes gallery to see many of these examples.

My Inspiration

I find inspiration for my Abstract Landscapes gallery in the changing seasons and the way light interacts with the landscape. The colors shift dramatically with the time of year, warm and golden in the autumn, or cool in the winter. Through this technique, I aim to evoke the feelings that these moments inspire in me—a sense of peace and wonder, and quiet beauty.

My Abstract Landscapes gallery, elicits an ethereal sense of peace and calm, inviting viewers into a serene world. The soft, flowing lines and subtle transitions of color and light create a dreamlike atmosphere. Each piece is a visual journey for me. By embracing abstraction, this gallery highlights the essence of landscapes rather than their literal representation.

I invite you to take your time exploring each image in my Abstract Landscapes gallery. I hope you find something that speaks to you. Thank you for visiting.
